In May

In May, Dan and I finally had a quite month

Where we spent most of our time at home catching up on TV shows we love, trying new recipes and watching a movie or two.

Dan had some extra work around at his grandfathers

I got the house reorganised and found us some more storage space in our kitchen

I finally got the bedside tables I had wanted for years

And Betty finally got her voice back

May was a quite month where we got to rest,  now looking forward to making June a little more busy but just as peaceful!

Last Night

Last night, Daniel and I had a little date night picnic in our lounge room including pizza, candlelight, cuddles and episodes of our new favorite tv show, Person of Interest. It was perfect.

5 for Friday: May 4th 2012

I have seen a lot of people doing these posts on Friday, and I have decided to join in as a way to sum up the last week

IMG_20120501_164752
1) Last Sunday I drove for four hours, this is the longest I have ever driven. Dan took over the driving in Albury due to the speed limit restrictions in NSW for learner's permits. (There is a photo to prove this by the way, it just on Dan’s phone)

2) I have nearly caught up on my project life, and cannot wait to start sharing it here. I also have a few page LOs that I am looking forward to sharing here too.

 3)  Was really excited because I learnt how to take screen shots on my phone this week, completely by accident. Yes, it has taken me over 12 months to work this out!

4) I recently discovered this photo on Facebook of my sister in law and myself, which made me very happy

5) Is looking forward to picking up her bedside tables tomorrow, that she bought eBay for $10.50. Yes, I just refered to myself in the third person! (photo's coming soon)

In April

P1060611
In April, Dan and I were just as busy as the month even though we had both said we would have a quite month,

we experience some car troubles

but quickly got this fixed

Dan had to catch a bus which was a new experience for him

We drove down south to spend Easter with Dan's Dad's Family

I found a bargain

We had a few dinners with good friends, and surprised one for her birthday

I read one book, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Dan drove ten hours to Melbourne overnight

I slept the whole drive to Melbourne

We caught up with some our Friends and Family in Melbourne

We saw our friends get married

I drove 4 hours from Donnybrook to Woondga

Dan drove 6 hours from Woondga to Home

April was busy but good

now we are looking forward to what May has in hold for us

Documenting our first year of married life

This year I really wanted to document my life better than I had before.... I thought long and hard about how I wanted to this, there was a few things I knew I wanted to do

1) I wanted to start the day after we got married

2) I wanted it to be a weekly perspective

I thought about doing a mini album and I thought about doing 12x12 album, and last but not least I thought about doing project life.

I weighed up the pros and cons of each one

IMG_20120410_07525012x12 Album

Pros

  • I recently found more enjoyment in scrapbooking this way again

Cons

  • that is a lot of 12 by 12s

  IMG_20120406_075713
MINI ALBUM

Pros

  • The format is good, just pop the photos in a 4 by 6 album put a sticker here and there, and then it done

Cons

  • I cannot put 12 by 12 pages in the album if I do a 12 by 12 album, hence it won't give a full picture

  IMG_20120406_075453
Project life

Pros

  • it a like a mini album, I can just put photos in and things I can come across in my day to day. I can included 12 by 12 when I want.

Cons

  • everyone is doing it.... how do I make it look like mines as an individual rather than everyone else
  • Also it on back order everywhere and I want to start now

So after it all, I decided I would do project life. I am not sure how I am going to make this album stand out as mine but I will work that out.

As for the back order, I order the products, and have had most of them arrived apart from the core kit (yes, that is the most important bit). But I am collecting my stories and working out what I want to include once the kit arrives, and then I will just put the album together.

I am super excited about this project and just cannot wait to get it started!

May in Review

She got the first winter cold,

He looked after her,

He had a fire at work,

She thinks he started it! (Only kidding)

She built a city,

He is still working at city,

Overall, May was a quite month

Maybe June will be a little bit more exciting

(pictures to come)

April so far

It has been a super busy start to this month, so much so i have not had time to sit down and think. Over the weekend we had a business dinner with Dan's boss discussing what next?, that is he has to go to Melbourne for a few weeks for work and then maybe onto Canada for advanced training, that the bit i am looking forward to the most because if it falls in the holiday I maybe able to go with him. YAY a trip to Canada! (It has been my dream to go since i was a child). Apart from that it has been all work and uni with no play throw in, and this week is not looking much better.. Currently on clinical, and Daniel working all weekend and there is a 21st we are meant to be going to on Saturday but i am too tired to even think about that.

I have so many post i need to catch up on, i.e monthy review for march, goals this month plus i have a yummy recipe for you to try out. Hopefully later today i will be able to sit down and type this up.

Take care

E
